Web developers has done take a serious look at Ruby on Rails

RoR is a very popular option today and generally considered quite terrible in many regards. Of course it’s better than many alternatives and if “web developer” means Dreamweaver monkey, then absolutely.

I’m saying “has done this” because of the high popularity, but those who aren’t familiar with it should see it and make sure they also find something better to use. :)

Web developers should not use AJAX as much as possible

I’m not disagreeing with this idea out of hand. I’m disagreeing because I know Web developers tend to be so wowed by what’s possible with AJAX that they forget about browsers still out there that don’t support AJAX. Implement AJAX, sure, but do it right and don’t shut users out when you don’t have to.
